Will there be a recount?

Nathan Miller stands at 702 votes (22.76 percent).

There are two positions up for grabs. One of which has been secured by Brackel. After the unofficial results were released Tuesday, Nov. 6, and with the margin so narrow, the auditor’s office has to wait for the absentee ballots to be counted and added to the vote total.

A recount is possible in this race. However, any absentee ballot that was postmarked by Monday, Nov. 5, will be counted if it reaches the auditor’s office by Nov. 13. The official results will be determined after the county canvass board has canvassed the returns and certified the results. The county canvass board meeting will be held Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 1:30 p.m., in the county commission room.

At that time, the updated vote totals for each candidate will determine if a recount goes into effect or if two winners
